ABOUT AGATSU

At Agatsu Montreal, our philosophy towards fitness is grounded in two elements, community, and a mastery mindset.
The name Agatsu is derived from the Japanese saying Masakatsu Agatsu, meaning true victory is self-victory. We approach fitness and health with this ideal in mind, seeking to use physical exercise and movement as a means to challenge and develop the mind, body, and spirit.

Ready to take your first steps to get moving?  No better time than the present!  So where to start?

1. Cost?
You are welcome to come and try your first class for free!

2. What do I need to bring?
Athletic clothing, a water bottle, towel and shoes (shoes optional indoors, but have some outdoor shoes in case we train outdoors)

3.  Book a Class!

CERTIFICATIONS

At Agatsu, we approach training and fitness with a mastery mindset. Fitness and exercise are not about being the hamster on the wheel and mindlessly putting yourself through a workout. We apply our mind to the task and aim to learn and perfect what we teach and offer. 


One of the meanings of Agatsu is self-victory or self-mastery. We therefore put a large emphasis on learning and the mastery process. We regularly host different certification courses and instructors. Whether you are a fitness professional or simply someone looking to deepen their practise, our certification courses are for you.
